Ministry of Education to rebuild demolished and not
SANTO DOMINGO. Students attending public school Manuel Aurelio Tavarez Justo, Brisas del Este sector I, in Santo Domingo Este, spend recess inside a closed garage door with zinc.

To accommodate the 500 students in two batches, is a makeshift tin roof, using the columns and walls of a medium size construction on the second level. On the second floor classrooms are without floors, blinds, bathrooms, with the rods out at the slate.

Rosendo Mejía, president of the Neighborhood Brisas del Este I, reports that after delivery of the housing, the period 2011-2012 will be held on the rubble of the demolition which was the old school, because in the poor sector there another unit with the capacity to accommodate nine classrooms of about 20 students each.

President of the Neighbors reported that on Tuesday 17 May, the students accompanied by the inhabitants of the neighborhood visit in supervises the Ministry of Education demanding the reconstruction of the school building. Rosendo Mejia said that on several occasions have attended education, without the institution to act responsibly, after demolishing the old public school, leaving hundreds of children in the sector, and other surrounding areas, no school.
