I've written several times about the tardiness as a despicable and damaging property of the Dominican people. But I never had
many reasons to do so as now, to read the chronicle of what happened last weekend in a ballroom of the Capital, when an artist who had announced his show for nine in the night made her appearance at three in the morning!
The worst part is that much of the attendance remained there until that time, supporting and rewarding and the misconduct of the artist, their managers and entertainment center.
Chances are that with this example, the same happens next time and again pay tribute to the lateness.
The Dominican Republic should be gaining a reputation as one of the nations of the world tardy.
People here are not ashamed for being late to the commitments, thus exhibiting a behavior irresponsible and inconsiderate to others. The first should give the keynote are government officials, with President Fernandez to the head.
If the President arrived on time for appointments, I am sure that all flatterers nearby and so would the domino effect, things were different in this country.
Meanwhile, His Majesty the tardiness continues to reign.
